Mid-Hudson Love INC has adopted Redemptive Compassion into our DNA, and it determines how we do ministry with those around us. We want each and every volunteer and local church we work with to understand why we have responded to the biblical call to wholistic help.Redemptive Compassion helps participants learn to address need by looking at six core principles:
  1. Everyone has value
  2. We are called to invest relationally in each other
  3. Everyone has capacity and potential
  4. Mutual participation is important
  5. We must use wisdom and discernment
  6. What we do should transform
If you have not already done so, please prayerfully consider joining a
Redemptive Compassion study group.Executive Director Carley Andrews will be leading two seven-week studies on Thursday nights, from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. beginning September 12 at Poughkeepsie United Methodist Church and on Sunday evenings, from 6:00 to 7:30 beginning September 15 at New Beginnings. For more information or to participate in one of these groups, please contact Carley Andrews (845-702-2271 or director@mhlinc.org ).
RELATIONAL MINISTRY CLASSES
We are soon beginning a new season of relational ministry classes.
We are so excited about this opportunity to build supportive friendships with our neighbors and to see God’s transformational work as we meet together. Pray that God would bless all who participate in these classes. Please pray too for the many logistical challenges, especially for drivers. If you are able to help with driving clients to and/or from Changepoint Church (Tuesday evenings) or Poughkeepsie United Methodist Church (Thursday evenings), please contact Volunteer Coordinator Jewel Ratzlaff (845-416-5964 or  Jewel.Ratzlaff@gmail.com ).

Please pray for our upcoming Scrabble Tournament Fundraiser on Thursday, October 10. This year we are also including a game night for those who don’t play Scrabble but would like to enjoy a fun night out and support Mid-Hudson Love INC.

Please pray that this will be a successful fundraiser for Love INC and that the planning committee would have wisdom and energy to attend to all the necessary details.

For more information on the tournament and game night, contact Ruth Zoodsma (845-462-0163 or scrabble@mhlinc.org ) or visit the Love INC web site (www.mid-hudsonloveinc.org).

Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send?
And who will go for us?” And I said, “Here am I. Send me!”
