Introduction to Collaborative Christian Ministry –
Thursday, May 23, 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at the Love INC office (94 Market Street, Poughkeepsie). Many Christians feel called to help people in need, but don’t know where to start. Mid-Hudson Love In the Name of Christ trains and equips Christians for restorative ministry based on biblical principles of redemptive compassion and provides meaningful opportunities for individuals to be involved in transformative ministry with hurting people: prayer, phone work, deliveries, workshops, one-to-one mentoring, driving, and more. For more information or to RSVP, contact Jewel Ratzlaff, Volunteer Coordinator (845-896-4126 or info@mhlinc.org).

Poughkeepsie Open Studio – Love INC Pop-Up Gallery –
Saturday, June 15, 1:00 to 5:00 pm – 39 Market Street (above the Ugly Mug Coffee Shop). Meet artists and purchase their art to benefit Love INC. Contact Ann Derwin Doyle (914-618-0474 or aineakd@gmail.com) for more information.

Drivers Needed –
Mid-Hudson Love INC provides transportation to and from our Relational Ministry classes to facilitate participation. Driving one, two, or three people is an easy way to show God’s grace and love.  Can you help? We are seeking drivers for Tuesday evening, Thursday evening, and Saturday morning classes in May and June.  Please contact Jewel Ratzlaff to volunteer (845.416.5964 or info@mhlinc.org).

Redemptive Compassion® is a biblical philosophy illustrating how the Church can offer wholistic help to people who find themselves struggling with needs in their life and are unable to overcome them on their own. It challenges many current and common ways of addressing need based upon six core principles:
Everyone has value.
We are called to invest relationally in each other.
Everyone has capacity and potential.
Mutual participation is important.
We must use wisdom and discernment.
What we do should transform.
Love INC is facilitating several “Redemptive Compassion” study groups across the community throughout 2019. For more information, to be put on a list for the next study session, or to host a group discussion at your church, contact Executive Director Carley Andrews at director@mhlinc.org or 845-702-2271.
