RELATIONAL MINISTRY

Could you drive Love INC clients to and/or from our Relational Ministry class on Saturday mornings beginning February 23?  This is a great opportunity to serve and to get to know some of our wonderful neighbors.  On the way home from class last week, one of our neighbors confided in their driver, “There aren’t many people in this world that I trust anymore…but I love the people I meet through Love INC. Everyone has been great, and I really love going to these classes. It means a lot to me.”  Contact Jewel Ratzlaff at info@mhlinc.org or 845-416-5964 for more information or to volunteer.

TRAINING
Training for our Relational Ministry Volunteers is beginning soon.  Volunteer opportunities are available in one-on-one and/or class settings.  There are two training sessions offered.

Thursday, Feb. 21, 6:30 – 9 pm (Training Session #1) (generational poverty, goal-setting, expectations)

Thursday, Feb. 28, 6:30 – 9 pm (Training Session #2) (active listening, boundaries, support)

LOCATION: To Be Determined. Contact Jewel Ratzlaff at info@mhlinc.org or 845-416-5964 for more information or to RSVP.

REDEMPTIVE COMPASSION IN ACTION WORKSHOP

Please join us for a powerful workshop on Redemptive Compassion in Action, presented by Lois Tupyi, on Friday, March 29, from 2:00-5:00 pm at St. John’s Lutheran Church (55 Wilbur Blvd, Po’k).
Redemptive Compassion presents a ‘helping without hurting’ biblical paradigm designed for those working with people in need. It emphasizes a wholistic approach to relationships marked by respect and accountability.

Guest Presenter Lois Tupyi is the author of Redemptive Compassion, the Executive Director of Love INC of Treasure Valley Idaho, and trainer for the National Love INC Movement.

There is no fee for the workshop but RSVP is required. Reserve your spot at director@mhlinc.org. For more information: www.mid-hudsonloveinc.org.

Mid-Hudson Love In the Name of Christ is
10 years old!
On March 16, 2009, we opened our phone lines to receive calls for help and to offer support and prayer.  On March 25, 2009, there was a Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting ceremony and an interview with The Sound of Life about the opening of this transformational Christian ministry.  Next month, we will commemorate this 10-year journey with an Anniversary Brunch at Christo’s on Saturday, March 30. If you would like to receive an invitation, please contact us at info@mhlinc.org.
And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.”  ~ 1 Corinthians 13:13
