Pathway Program
Designed for anyone seeking positive change, Pathway offers practical tools, encouragement, and relationships that help participants move forward with confidence and hope
Classes cover a range of life skills, including budgeting, nutrition, stress management, healthy relationships, self-care, and goal setting. Bible studies and faith-based discussions also help participants deepen their relationship with Jesus Christ and grow in their understanding of God’s purpose for their lives. Pathway is more than a class—it is a community. Participants have opportunities to build supportive relationships, connect with local churches, and learn alongside others pursuing similar goals.
To support the entire family, Mid-Hudson Love INC also offers a Children's Ministry during class sessions.

Class Descriptions
Step 1
Building Hope
Building Hope is our introductory Pathway class designed to acquaint you with our program. You will gain a sense of community as you meet new people and rekindle hope through discussions and activities that focus on self-care and your spiritual well-being.
Building Hope offers life skills and practical tips for nutrition, cooking, stress reduction, budgeting, and goal setting. Heartfelt group discussions explore the power of prayer, healing from past hurts, the importance of gratitude and forgiveness, and mending broken relationships. This is an opportunity to make quality time for yourself, open your heart, learn alongside others, and deepen your trust in God.
By the end of this 5-week class, you’ll be encouraged to continue your journey by taking additional Mid-Hudson Love INC Pathway classes.
Step 2
Spiritual Exploration
This 8-week study is based on the book Defined: Who God Says You Are by Steve and Alex Kendrick and the movie Overcomer. If you feel lost in your circumstances, labeled by your past, or misunderstood by others, this study will help you understand your true identity as a child of God. Each week, you will explore God’s nature and what Jesus has done for us on the cross. You will discover who you are in Christ and embrace your best self.
Step 3
Faith & Finances
This 8-week course, offered through the Chalmers Center, helps you manage your monthly budget and make wise spending decisions. Grounded in Biblical principles, you will consider how money can affect your relationship with yourself, others, your community, and even God. You will receive practical tools for setting financial goals, tracking expenses, reducing debt, and building healthier financial habits. At the end of the course, you can work one-on-one with a financial coach for an additional 3 to 4 weeks to review your spending, pull credit reports, and plan for the future.
Step 4
Affirming Potential
Affirming Potential is an intensive 12-week series offered by many Love INC affiliates nationwide. The class helps you discover your value and God-given potential through guided self-reflection on key areas of life. Along the way, you will recognize the inner resources God has given you to overcome challenges, see a new way forward through faith, and be inspired to make positive changes. By the end of the course, you will have the opportunity to set goals to improve your physical, emotional, spiritual, and relational well-being, with guidance, support, and practical tools to help you achieve them.
Step 5
Healthy Lifestyles
Healthy Lifestyles is a support group for neighbors who have completed Affirming Potential and set health and wellness goals to improve their physical well-being. You will learn about nutrition, cooking and shopping tips, stress reduction, stretching exercises, and low-impact activities. Most importantly, you will be encouraged to set aside quality time for prayer and worship as a transformative form of self-care and healthy spiritual growth.
Step 6
Resolving Everyday Conflicts
Based on the Peacemaker Ministry curriculum, this small-group study explores why we react to conflict the way we do and offers new ways to respond to individuals and issues in everyday life. As you consider your own story, you will learn to navigate difficult relationships and circumstances you have encountered. Healing from past hurt will begin when you rely on and understand the redemptive peace and forgiveness that only God can provide.
Step 7
Coaching
A Love INC Coach is a mentor who walks alongside you with encouragement, prayer, and support as you take meaningful steps toward a personal goal. If you are committed to pursuing a particular goal after completing Faith & Finances or Affirming Potential, you will not have to walk that journey alone. You might be matched with a Love INC Coach who will meet with you one-on-one as you work toward that goal. Your Love INC Coach will encourage you, celebrate your progress, and help you plan next steps and keep moving forward. Through this mentoring relationship, you can experience the kindness and compassion of a faith-centered fellowship, a powerful part of lasting transformation.
