In 2006, Jewel Ratzlaff and Carole Daves recognized growing needs across New York’s Mid-Hudson Valley. Many individuals and families were struggling to make ends meet as housing costs rose and everyday expenses became increasingly unaffordable.

Driven by their faith and a desire to serve their neighbors, they laid the groundwork for a local Love In the Name of Christ (Love INC) affiliate. Together with a dedicated committee of six local church partners, most of whom remain committed to the Mid-Hudson Love INC ministry today, they envisioned a ministry that would connect churches, volunteers, and community resources to provide practical help, hope, and lasting transformation for people in need.

That vision became a reality in 2009, when Mid-Hudson Love INC was officially established as an affiliate of Love INC.

Today, Mid-Hudson Love INC partners with more than 40 local churches and mobilizes hundreds of volunteers dedicated to building relationships, restoring hope, and transforming lives across Poughkeepsie, Hyde Park, Pleasant Valley, Wappingers Falls, LaGrange, Fishkill, and Hopewell Junction. By uniting churches to serve their communities, we continue to help individuals and families move from crisis to stability and experience the love of Christ in tangible ways.
