Gap Ministries

Through our Gap Ministries, Love INC Mid-Hudson helps churches build ministries to fill service gaps by identifying unmet needs in the community. From furniture and linens to personal care items, we help churches organize services and products to meet real needs without duplicating existing resources. Yet what is offered is much more than products and services. Our relational approach ensures that each person is seen as an individual and offered prayer, encouragement, and ongoing connection.

Personal Care Items Ministry

The Personal Care Items Ministry helps individuals and families access essential household and hygiene products that cannot be purchased with SNAP (food stamp) benefits. Donations are collected through our partner churches, sorted and packed at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Fishkill, and delivered by dedicated volunteers.

Each care package is thoughtfully assembled to meet the specific needs of the individual or family receiving assistance, helping to restore dignity and provide practical support during challenging times.

We welcome donations of new, full-size items, including:

  • Shampoo and body lotion
  • Toothbrushes and toothpaste
  • Deodorant
  • Razors and shaving cream
  • Feminine hygiene products
  • Laundry detergent
  • Dish soap
  • Paper towels
  • Toilet paper
  • Tissues
  • Combs and brushes

Linens Ministry

The Linens Ministry provides essential bedding and bath linens to individuals and families transitioning through difficult circumstances. Donations from local churches and community members are collected, sorted, and packed at Immanuel Church in Wappingers Falls and delivered by caring volunteers. A fresh set of sheets, warm blankets, and clean towels can bring comfort, dignity, and a sense of home to those experiencing hardship.

Furniture

The Love INC Mid-Hudson Furniture Ministry helps transform living spaces into welcoming homes by providing gently used furniture to individuals and families in need. Through donations from the community and the support of dedicated volunteers, the ministry delivers essential items such as sofas, tables, chairs, and dressers, offering comfort, stability, and dignity during difficult seasons of life.
