Mid-Hudson Love In the Name of Christ is a network of Christians from many churches working together to help local people in need. Love INC volunteers operate a Clearinghouse/office that receives calls for help, verifies the need, and begins the process of caring for the individual. Trust is built through careful listening and prayer. Tangible support may be offered, though Love INC does not dispense cash or pay bills. Volunteers may deliver a bag of personal care items, linens, towels, furniture or sometimes even a bed.  Referrals may include a visit from a pastor or contact information for local resources such as church ministries, service agencies, or support groups.  As the relationship develops, individuals in need may attend a practical life skills class or be matched with a friendship mentor. In every aspect of the ministry, we strive to share God’s love and model Christ-like relationships.

Mid-Hudson Love In the Name of Christ is a local affiliate of the National Love INC Movement, a model of ministry that has been transforming lives since 1977. Mid-Hudson Love INC received 501(c)3 non-profit status in 2008 and opened its Clearinghouse doors on March 16, 2009.  Now in 2017, over 180 volunteers representing more than 35 churches work together throughout the year under the Love INC umbrella.
