It’s Auction Time!
Please include Mid-Hudson Love In the Name of Christ in your prayers. The Clearinghouse in Poughkeepsie has only been open since Mid March and already over 25 clients have been helped by matching their request for assistance with donations of furniture, personal care items, and kitchen furnishings among others. In order to help fund Mid-Hudson Love INC’s capability to meet the growing demand for more relief services in our community, an Auction Fundraiser is scheduled at 10:00 a.m on August 8 at St. John’s Lutheran Church (55 Wilbur Blvd., Poughkeepsie). We are inviting people from member churches in the Mid-Hudson Love INC network and friends in the community to support this ministry that is available to help Dutchess County residents.
SUGGESTED ITEMS FOR DONATION:
- Tickets to sporting events, NYC theaters, Bardavon, golf greens fees
- Gift certificates/cards for restaurants or stores (minimum $25)
- Quality furniture in excellent condition
- Hand-Crafted Quilts, Artisan Afghans
- Paintings, artwork
- Individual or business to offer a service (music lessons, catering a dinner, tutoring a student in a particular subject)
- Collectibles (coins, dolls, etc.)
- Good quality costume, silver, or gold jewelry
- Antiques
Contact Bill Brunsvold, Mid-Hudson Love INC Board member, at 462-0396, if there is an item you would like to contribute or if you would like to know how to offer assistance in other ways. Please do not drop off items at our office. Arrangements will be made to obtain them. A receipt for tax purposes will be provided to acknowledge your gift.
